What this feature did:
Gives you the ability to customize, and run, a formatted report.
To customize (build) the reports:
Screen shot #1: From the Order Entry main menu, choose "System Management", then "Set Up System",
then "Formatted Report".

First, hit "F4" to start a new report.
1) "Description" - enter a description of your report.
2) "Width of Description" - enter the length (in characters) of your report description.
3) "Dozens or Pieces" - enter 'D' for dozens or 'P' for pieces. This determines how the quantities
print on the report (either in rounded dozens or in pieces only).
4) "MTD Sales Column (Units)" - enter the column number (1-7) for mtd sales units to print.
5) "MTD Sales Column (Dollars)" - enter the column number (1-7) for mtd sales dollars to print.
6) "YTD Sales Column (Units)" - enter the column number (1-7) for ytd sales units to print.
7) "YTD Sales Column (Dollars)" - enter the column number (1-7) for ytd sales dollars to print.
8) "Inventory Column (Units)" - enter the column number (1-7) for inventory units to print.
9) "Inventory Column (Dollars)" - enter the column number (1-7) for inventory dollars to print.
10) "MTD Purch Column (Units)" - enter the column number (1-7) for mtd purchase units to print.
11) "MTD Purch Column (Dollars)" - enter the column number (1-7) for mtd purchase dollars to print.
12) "YTD Purch Column (Units)" - enter the column number (1-7) for ytd purchase units to print.
13) "YTD Purch Column (Dollars)" - enter the column number (1-7) for ytd purchase dollars to print.
14) "On Order Column (Units)" - enter the column number (1-7) for inventory on order quantities to print.
15) "On Order Column (Dollars)" - enter the column number (1-7) for inventory on order dollars to print.
16) "MTD Total Cost Column" - enter the column number for mtd costs to print.
17) "MTD Gross Profit Column" - enter the column number for mtd gross profit to print.
18) "YTD Total Cost Column" - enter the column number for ytd costs to print.
19) "YTD Gross Profit Column" - enter the column number for ytd gross profit to print.
20) "On Hand or All" - enter "O" for on hand quantities or "A" for all quantities. All quantities
includes on hand, returns, bad stock, hold stock, and over/short stock.
21) "Sort by User" - enter "Y" to print a separate report for each user id.
22) "Base Format for Detail" - if you've already set up one formatted report and are simply printing
different column totals on a second report, TAB for a report already set up.
For example, on formatted report #1, you are printing MTD and YTD sales units and dollars as well
as Inventory units and dollars. The detail of formatted report #1 has been defined for one mill and
selected styles within that mill. On the second report, you want different column totals but the
same detail. In this field you would enter report #1.
Next, hit "ALT D" to enter the detail of this report.

"Description" - Enter a description of what will be printing on this LINE of the report.
"Type" - Press "F5" for a list of the different types.

For each detail line you will set up the mills, styles, and colors that will be included:

"Mill" - enter the mill code.
"Style" - enter the style (e.g.5180). If an asterisk "*" is entered after the style, this means to
include all 5180 styles including 51802X, 51803X, etc.
"Color" - enter the color code to be included. An asterisk "*" sign means to include all colors.
To print the report, go to Management reports, Sales by Part, Formatted Reports.

"Which report format" - TAB for the report formats already set up.
"Location" - For a specific location, TAB for the location. To print for all locations, leave blank.
"Detail" - to print the report including all styles and colors defined in your formatted report,
respond "Y". To print only the detail line description (from the formatted report) and subtotals,
respond "N".
"Cost by" - The costing method selected determines how the inventory value and margins are calculated.
Press the TAB or F5 keys to select a costing method.
1: Average
2: FIFO Estimated
3: LIFO Estimated
4: Standard
5: Fair Market
6: Last G/L Receipt
7: Replacement Cost
"The year starts on" - enter the beginning date of your fiscal year.
"The month starts on" - enter the beginning date of your fiscal month (for MTD totals).
"The month/year ends" - enter the ending date of the month (for MTD and YTD totals).
Report Output:
"MTD Sales Column (Units)" - all sales in the date range selected (from the TRX file).
"MTD Sales Column (Dollars)" - quantity (from the TRX file) multiplied (x) by the net cost on the order.
"YTD Sales Column (Units)" - all sales in the date range selected (from the TRX file).
"YTD Sales Column (Dollars)" - quantity (from the TRX file) multiplied (x) by the net cost on the order.
"Inventory Column (Units)" - on hand or available inventory (from the QTY file).
"Inventory Column (Dollars)" - inventory value (quantity multiplied (x) by cost selected when running
the report.
"MTD Purch Column (Units)" - all purchases in the date range selected (from the TRX file).
"MTD Purch Column (Dollars)" - purchases (from the TRX file) multiplied (x) by the receipt cost from the po.
"YTD Purch Column (Units)" - all purchases in the date range selected (from the TRX file).
"YTD Purch Column (Dollars)" - purchases (from the TRX file) multiplied (x) by the receipt cost from the po.
"On Order Column (Units)" - on order quantity from the quantity file.
"On Order Column (Dollars)" - on order value (quantity multiplied (x) by cost).
"MTD Total Cost Column" - MTD cost (MTD quantity sold multiplied (x) by net cost).
"MTD Gross Profit Column" - MTD sales dollars minus (-) MTD cost.
"YTD Total Cost Column" - YTD cost (YTD quantity sold multiplied (x) by net cost).
"YTD Gross Profit Column" - YTD sales dollars minus (-) YTD cost.
