Random Storage- With option to pull product from areas based on either least distance or FIFO criteria.
Auto-calculates- Calculates distances in order to improve efficiency of movements.
Consolidation- Automatic consolidation of movements so that when many orders ask for one sku, only one movement is made to replenish the picking bin.
Productive Time- Enables movements to be processed during idle time, making the warehouse more efficient.
The WH application has been specifically designed for the Imprinted Sportswear industry to increase warehouse productivity. Unlike most warehouse systems, which are passive in nature (e.g. you move stock and scan the product to tell the computer what you did), our WH application is pro-active -- much like our "auto packing" software for invoicing. The computer makes decisions and tells you what to do based on criteria you give it. Here are some of the major features:
- Wave Picking: sophisticated wave picking allows you to select orders to print based on different criteria such as Picking Class (attached to shipping methods), and also processes movement tickets to re-fill picking bins in order to accommodate orders.
- Directed Putaway: when you receive inventory WH creates movements based on the most efficient place to put each item.
- Physical Counts: done by bin locations rather than by product (including partial/cycle counts).
- Note: Warehouse Management is integrated into inventory. There is a fee for the warehouse application, and costs for setup and conversions needed to add this module to your system. Additions and/or customizations may be needed to fit particular situations. It will also take extensive data conversion.
