VICS Software Release policy is as follows:

Each September, VICS releases new software. The new release(s) include all applications and the database. There is no charge for the upgrade; this is part of your annual maintenance. There is, however, a charge for any installation that occurs after business hours Arizona time). The upgrades include bug fixes and new features. The release comes with a complete set of release notes telling about the fixes and changes. The release process includes extensive testing and is not considered a release until one customer has run it for a week or two as a beta test site and we are certain things are in good order. We then try and upgrade all customers by the end of November, with a few slipping in to December. This is to avoid our customers’ busy season.

In September, the release is separated from the development software. All invasive enhancements are done only to the development software. Invasive enhancements are those that require data base upgrades or updates of more than a program or two or enhancements that change functionality of core programs. Non-invasive enhancements are handled on a case-by-case basis. Non-invasive enhancements would only be added to the release should they be deemed absolutely safe and of great importance to our users. Examples include new reports, EASI additions, etc. Bug fixes are done to both the development and the release as a matter of course. Previous releases are not maintained from that point and are in fact removed from our computers, usually by November as well. Each and every change to the release is documented the week it is done and posted to a web site. Every month or so, we send email reminders to our customers with a link to the web site.

Please NOTE:   The only technical support VICS provides is for the current release.

One click away is the stock availability matrix by case, dozen, and each, or however you set your price breaks, for that style. Another click shows purchase order information. When an order is cancelled and replaced, a new order is generated with the original information automaticlly, while keeping a full audit trail of cancelled orders.
